NESAC signed an MoU with North East Center for Technology Applications and Reach (NECTAR), Shillong on 30 June, 2021 via virtual mode, aiming at joint initiatives and collaborations in the areas of teaching, research, technology support and projects requiring expertise and logistics from both the institutes. The signatories were Dr. Arun Kumar Sarma, Director General, NECTAR and Shri P.L.N. Raju, Director, NESAC.
The MoU signing ceremony started with the opening remarks of Dr. Arun Kumar Sarma, DG, NECTAR and he apprised all the participants about a number of new initiatives taken by NECTAR in NE region. He also stressed that NECTAR and NESAC have a wide range of common programs to implement in NER and this mutual collaboration and hand holding will go a long way in overall development support to entire NE region.
Director, NESAC appreciated NECTAR for taking a wide range of programs and coming forward to join hands with NESAC in realizing its future endeavors. Dr. K. K. Sarma, Scientist-SG, NESAC made a presentation on activities of NESAC and highlighted the possible areas of mutual collaboration. Dr. Partha Jyoti Das, Consultant Project Advisor of NECTAR and Dr. Jonali Goswami, Scientist-SF of NESAC also expressed their views on this occasion.
The MoU signing ceremony ended with vote of thanks offered by Dr. Krishna Kumar, Advisor (Technical), NECTAR.
