NESAC conducted experimental pilot survey for assessment of crop (Boro paddy) damage due to insect infestation with UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle)/Drone as per suggestions of Ministry of DoNER, Govt. of India. It was conducted in Morigaon district of Assam on 11th May, 2016 covering three sample locations. Necessary permission to fly the UAV was taken from the District Administration and Police Department (including local police station) for the survey.
