NESAC has been awarded with the National e-Governance Award 2021-2022 (Silver Medal) for the project on North Eastern Spatial Data Repository (NeSDR) under the category of Excellence in Adopting Emerging Technologies. The award was conferred by Dr Jitendra Singh, Hon’ble Minister of State (Independent Charge), Ministry of Science and Technology, Earth Science, Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions; Department of Atomic Energy and Department of Space during the during 25th National Conference on e-Governance held during 25-27th November at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Katra, Jammu. The NeSDR is listed as one among selected 18 awardees out of total 432 applications submitted by different Ministries and Departments across India. Dr SP Aggarwal, Director, NESAC, Dr Dibyajyoti Chutia, Head, GID, Shri PS Singh, Scientist-SE and Shri Nilay Nishant, Scientist-SD received the award on behalf of NESAC. The conference was organized by the Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances (DARPG) and Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, in association with the Government of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
