The Geo-Informatics & IT Division (GID) is responsible for building, management and monitoring of entire state-of-the-art IT infrastructure for secure and robust delivery of various essential IT services and support to all the users. The division takes active role in developing and hosting various user specific geospatial based application projects for better e-Governance and societal applications using space based data. Spatial Big Data handling and analysis including high resolution satellite and drone data are carried out to deliver different data products for their immediate utilization by the concerned user. The division also undertakes research in the areas of image processing, computer vision, 3D image understanding, photogrammetry, state-of-the art geospatial technology development, machine learning / deep learning, Internet-of-Things (IoT) etc.
