Official language conference for East and Northeast region was organized in Dibrugarh on 18th December 2021. Smt. Anshuli AryaSecretary, Department of Official Language presided over the conference. The conference was attended by about650 participants including the Heads of Office and Official Language Officers of Central Offices from 13 states. NESAC Umiam was awarded the first prize for Implementing Official Language Policy of the Union during the year 2017-18 in the category of offices of 11 to 50 personnel located in the North Eastern Region. Dr. K.K Sarma, Senior Scientist of NE-SAC and Smt. Namita Rani Paul Mitra, Junior Translation Officer were invited to receive this prestigious award. They received the Official Language Shield and Commendation certificate from the Secretary of the Department of Official Language.
